The 7th Annual “Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown” hosted by Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina will be a fully sanctioned national event with the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS). This State Championship will feature Friday night wing competition and Saturday full on barbecue competition within a large competitor and vendor village centered around The Lookout Pavilion. Public sampling of chicken wings and pork butts will be available for purchase, along with other options for food and refreshments.  Enjoy live music performances, a cocktail competition, and a Kids  Area all within a family friendly, casual and fun atmosphere.

Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown is excited to participate in the new Palmetto BBQ Series SC BBQ Championship. This new competition series  will award the best BBQ Competitor in SC who has the highest cumulative points for participating in at least 4 of the 6 KCBS sanctioned events in SC. Smoke on the Harbor is the last KCBS event of the year for SC, so we are expecting a large turn-out of BBQ competition teams.

Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina will also host a Food Drive benefiting the Lowcountry Food Bank. Patrons will be encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and receive $5.00 off admission
