Hunting Island State Park had to be number one on our list due to the unmatched beauty this island offers campers. This park has over 100 RV spots that come ready with electric and water.

There is a minimum 2-night reservation policy. We highly recommend making your reservations weeks if not months in advance to secure your spot. Hunting Island is one of the most popular state parks in South Carolina for RV Camping, so book well in advance!!

This beautiful park is located on the magnificent Grand Strand in Murrells Inlet. Huntington Beach State Park has 66 RV sites with full hookup and some of the best surf fishing on the east coast. In addition to the fishing and beautiful ocean views, this is one of the top places for bird watching.

The park also features a lake where it’s not unusual to see a gator or two. Much like Hunting Island, you should make reservations weeks or months before your desired date. This park is by far one of the best South Carolina State Parks for RV Camping.

The main lakeside campground features 59 paved sites with water and electricity. One of the top things to do when camping at Devil’s Fork is waterfall hunting around the lake. Many people either kayak or bring their boat to explore the waterfalls. Rentals are available.

Croft is one of our favorite places for RV Camping in South Carolina. On our numerous visits to the park, we have gone mountain biking, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding. The park is located just minutes away from downtown Spartanburg but you would never know it!

Once you enter the gates it’s as if you are miles and miles away from civilization. Camp Croft has a clean bathhouse, beautiful RV sites, 2 large lakes, and miles of trails. All RV sites come with electric and water hookup.

Keowee Toxaway State Park – RV Camping in South Carolina

If you love lakefront camping on one of the most beautiful lakes of South Carolina, then you can’t go wrong with Keowee Toxaway State Park. Located on the beautiful Lake Keowee, the park has 10 paved RV sites with electric and water hook-up.

This may not be the biggest parks on our RV Camping in South Carolina list but it is for sure worth booking when available!

Paris Mountain State Park | RV Camping

Paris Mountain is always a must-visit park anytime you are in the upstate of South Carolina. This park is the perfect place for anyone interested in beautiful hiking trails, untouched mountain lakes, and wildlife.

There is a total of 39 paved sites, 13 of those are tent sites. The welcome center offers kayak rentals if you want to take a spin around the lake. If you want to experience one of the Best South Carolina State Parks for RV Camping with a park that has it all, Paris Mountain is a great choice.
