The 2019 RBC Heritage will be the 51st year of the tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island. The Harbour Town course is nothing short of spectacular, designed by Pete Dye in consultation with Jack Nicklaus in the fall of 1969. The course plays just at 7000 yards with tight fairways and unpredictable winds being so close to the ocean.
The RBC Heritage is much more than a golf tournament for South Carolina, it is much like an annual holiday filled with plaid. Some say the tournament is the biggest social event on Hilton Head Island. The plaid will be especially important on Saturday as the tournament is pushing the ‘Get Your Plaid On’ theme inspired by the Red Tartan Jacket the tournament winners receive.
Who Will Be Playing in The 2019 RBC Heritage?
Many big name players on the PGA Tour will once again return for the 2019 RBC Heritage including Team RBC Ambassadors Dustin Johnson and Webb Simpson. Some past champions to join the field this year are Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker that will, of course, be out to win it again. The latest commitments to play are Ian Poulter, Jordan Spieth, and Rafa Cabrera Bello. For the complete 2019 RBC Heritage Field visit https://rbcheritage.com/news/current-field
