When most people think of the Grand Strand area they think of Myrtle Beach, but according to USA Today, Georgetown SC is the best coastal small town in the country. Although the town is not at the heart of the Grand Strand, the area is said to stretch from Little River to Georgetown.
This charming town is the 3rd oldest town in South Carolina with a population of around 10,000. Located in the Winyah Bay, Georgetown is also the second largest seaport in the state.
